National Park Treks
The Park Sky Treks are designed for the adventure traveler wanting to see and experience Alaska’s National Parks, preserves and Wildlife Refuges in the Western and Southwestern part of the state. Featured destinations are Aniakchak National Monument and Preserve, Katmai National Park and Preserve, Lake Clark National Park and Preserve, Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge, Togiak National Wildlife Refuge, Becharof National Wildlife Refuge and Alaska Peninsula Wildlife Refuge. These lands encompass thousands of square miles and are quickly accessed by aircraft offering some of the most diverse wilderness areas on the planet. From wild rivers, glacier filled valleys, active volcanoes, diverse wildlife, native culture and historic sites, Alaska’s National Parks have it all.

Southwest Alaska Park Trek
On this three day trek travelers will begin their journey from King Salmon.
Day One you are traveling northeast, the targeted park is Lake Clark National Park. The highlight of the first day is to see the famous cabin of Dick Proeneke located at Twin Lakes.
Day Two takes you to the Katmai National Park and Preserve where we will witness brown bear at Brooks Falls, and later fly on to the Valley of 10,000 Smokes.
Day Three brings you to the the Becharof National Wildlife Refuge to target Walrus viewing, beach combing and (weather permitting) Mt. Peulik, a 4,800 foot volcano with lava flows reaching Becharof Lake. Dinner and overnight accommodations will be at wilderness lodges or B&B’s.
Day 1: King Salmon – Lake Clark National Park
Day 2 Lake Clark National Park – Katmai National Park
Day 3: Katmai National Park – Becharof National Wildlife Refuge – King Salmon
3 days/3 nights beginning and ending in King Salmon
