How C Air became Sky Trekking Alaska

In the winter months of 2012, Lori Egge and Tim Gossett of Sky Trekking Alaska purchased the well known and prestigious charter operation – C Air. Based in King Salmon, Alaska, C Air was owned by personal friends Cecil and Catherine Shuman for 25 years. Known for their customer service and safety, C Air had spent years serving ADF&G, the Park Service and Wildlife Refuges in the area. Under the new ownership of Tim Gossett, C Air became an extension of Sky Trekking Alaska, assuming the name. We have continued serving clients based in King Salmon as well as traveling tourists wishing to charter to the many Southwestern Alaskan attractions.

Sky Trekking Alaska’s Charters offer both floatplane and wheel plane services from King Salmon. Our aircraft are licensed under a Federal Part 135 Air Carrier Certificate. This allows “On Demand” Air Charters in Alaska, Canada, and the continental United States. For summer operations, we typically have a Cessna 185 floatplane and a Cessna 180 wheel plane available between May 1 and September 30. For winter operations, and based out of Wasilla, Alaska, we have both the Cessna 185 and Cessna 180 equipped with wheel /skis from January through April.

Our summer charter trips highlight bear viewing and fishing in the Katmai National Park and Becharof National Wildlife Refuge. Our fall is filled with hunt charter trips to remote, productive locations. See our Day Trips and Charters page for fly out options. Come join us for a fly out to Brooks Camp for bear viewing or to Moraine Creek for that Rainbow Trout of a lifetime!

What is a Charter?

Sky Trekking Alaska specializes in ‘On Demand’ air charters. Our guests are flown to one of the many productive locations either with or without a guide for the drop off. Sky Trekking will then return for the guests at a prearranged time for the pick up and return to the Sky Trekking Alaska, King Salmon base.
